As you know there are many styles of Yoga and each person may like one style more than another. At Yoga Natura we learn Hatha Yoga from the base, but there are days when we feel more active and then we practice more Vinyasa style or a combination of both. When it is very hot or we are lower in energy we do Yin Yoga, which helps us to connect with the more feminine and relaxed energy...
The breathing techniques we use are called "Pranayamas" and we get to know and use several depending on the type of session we do that day. There are days when we feel very disciplined and want something stricter so we do Yoga for alignment or Ashtanga style Yoga.
There are other styles such as Jivamukti Yoga with music or Sivananda style... And other more current styles such as "Core Yoga" or "Yoga fit".
Which Yoga do I like the most? Particularly, being a Gemini girl of the air element, I really like Vinyasa Yoga. It is a Yoga with multiple benefits and very fluid almost like a dance:
Physical: Muscle toning, development of flexibility, strength and endurance, cellular oxygenation, balance of all systems such as digestive, circulatory, endocrine, etc..
Mental: Bringing the mind to the present, to the here and now through the breath and stop thinking about the past or the future which is precisely what causes us stress and anxiety. This dynamic Yoga is a meditation in movement. It produces a feeling of optimism and joy, serenity, and presence.
In the end all styles of Yoga lead to the same place and that is a great feeling of inner peace. It may be that your style is more relaxed or more challenging because each individual has a different energy but the goal of Yoga is a calm mind and a deep connection with oneself.
Each Yoga Natura session includes meditations and visualizations to connect with the energy that is available. It is something improvised and channeled that happens according to the day and in my sessions are always present the phases of the moon and astrology with its new transits of this year 2025.
On the other hand, meditation is always part of the sessions to a greater or lesser extent, as well as the link with nature and its elements (this makes us reconnect very easily with the energy of the earth and also of the cosmos).
